Golden Quilt Company has been in town for almost 16 years and is a great resource for beginner and expert quilters alike. They carry more than 2,500 bolts of quality quilting fabric, patterns, books, and gift items for all skill levels. Their beginner quilting classes are a great starting point for anyone interested in learning how to quilt, and they plan to expand their offerings in the near future. When your quilt is ready for the final step, bring it in to Golden Quilt Company and utilize their long arm quilting services to finish it up. You can also bring your sewing machine in for servicing. If you knit or crochet, check out their stocking quality yarns. Don’t want to make your own quilt? You can also purchase a store sample made right here in Colorado.

Gallerie Quilt

A few blocks up on Washington Avenue, Gallerie Quilt is a recent addition to Golden. They’re a family owned and operated store, and they carry the best in handmade, heirloom quality quilts. They have a vast selection of finished quilts in different styles, colors, and patterns. If you want to browse the collection from your home, they’re currently offering 20% off site wide and free shipping. If you buy a quilt at the Golden store, their shop dog, Hansel, can carry your quilt to your car in a wagon.

The museum hosts quarterly exhibits, tailored tours, and programs for adults and youth. The museum is also home to the Sandra Dallas Library containing more than 7,500 volumes featuring out-of-print literature, technique resources, historic patterns, and research documents.
